Many people want their nightstand, the first thing many of us see when we wake up, to be comforting. Photos of friends, family, and even pets can be a great addition to a nightstand. Books and a reading lamp are also popular choices, obviously, though now many people choose to read from a tablet. But that doesn’t mean you should keep a tablet on your nightstand; screens can adversely affect your sleep pattern. Of course, a glass of water or a water bottle is also a good thing to keep on your nightstand. You never know when you’ll wake up thirsty in the middle of the night. Many people also keep a catchall on their nightstand: a glass or a decorative bowl to hold everything from change to bobby pins. This is a good way to make sure that whatever little items you might need will be within reach as soon as you wake up!
