It’s not too late to get a little spring cleaning done! Clutter in the bedroom can contribute to decreased quality of sleep. If you want to feel rested and relaxed, it’s important to keep your bedroom calm, comfortable and organized rather than chaotic and cluttered. But what happens when there’s nowhere left to put the clutter? These ideas will help keep it out of sight!
The first step of any decluttering process is to discard belongings that take up space but hold little value. That means donating to charity or Goodwill, and throwing out anything that has outlived its usefulness. From there, it’s time to dig in and figure out how to store the rest of the things that have been cluttering up your bedroom.
Starting in the closet is usually a good idea. Pull out any out-of-season clothes you won’t be wearing for several months. You can store these in spare suitcases. If you have any vintage suitcases, you can even stack them on top of your wardrobe or elsewhere to add a little visual interest to your bedroom! If your dresser drawers are all mixed up, you can cut the bottoms off of cereal boxes, wrap them in decorative paper, and use them to sort the various things in your drawers!
