You should also make your bedroom as sleep-friendly as possible. Cool, dark, and quiet are the name of the game. If you have a lot of noise in your neighborhood, a white noise machine or ear plugs should do the trick. Finally, there are certain things you should never do right before bed. Exercising as well as drinking caffeine or alcohol will mess with your sleep. Exercising regularly can help you sleep better overall, but will have a negative effect if you do it too close to bedtime.
