Many parents in small homes face the same dilemma: two kids who share a bedroom, who have their own belongings and their own needs for space. If you’re looking for ideas for a room to house two boys on a small budget, this San Francisco couple has a few ideas for you!
Their sons both love anything race car-related, which made it easy to agree on a theme. This might be harder for your own kids, but a theme isn’t necessary to create a great kids’ room. The real key is knowing how to efficiently use the space you have. Bunk beds, for example, are a great way to save space in a shared bedroom. Storage drawers, whether under the bed or built in, will also free up some precious floor space. Each child will also need a workspace, and this couple decided to use an extra-long desk to allow for two workstations. In the space between the workstations, they placed bookshelves under the desk for even more storage. There are a ton of great design ideas rolled into this bedroom design, and not a single inch of wasted space. Take a look at some photos below!
